Purpose and Programs
The Corporation’s specific objectives, in addition to its charitable purposes, are to promote education, historic preservation, ecological conservation and coastal protection.
Education
Programs offered by nonprofit-led organizations to assist with history, historic preservation, ecological conservation and coastal protection.
Historic Preservation
This may include a documentary film, historic cottage stories, additional oral histories for Crystal Cove Conservancy and UCI Library and Special Collections, and costs for further marketing and placement for the documentary.
Ecological Conservation
Ecological conservation programs are initiatives that aim to protect natural habitats, endangered species and ecosystems through activities like habitat restoration, sustainable resource management, and pollution reduction. These programs can be governmental or non-profit led, and local, regional or global in scope.
Coastal Protection
Coastal protection refers to measures taken to safeguard coastal areas from erosion and flooding, often due to factors such as storms, sea-level rise, and urbanization.
